Not sure what size needle to use?

As a general rule, use a size that goes through your fabric easily, without forcing the threads apart but large enough that it won't fall through on its own. As a more specific guideline, we suggest the following:

Fabric Count Needle Size
11 or less 24
14 24 or 26
16, 18 26 or 28
If working "over two" on linen or evenweave, remember your count per inch is half that of the fabric, e.g. 28 ct. worked "over two" is the same as 14 ct, 32 ct worked "over two" is the same as 16 ct.
